Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Years Programme (PYP) Homeroom Teacher (HRT) to lead and guide a class of students in Grades 1–6. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will take on the responsibility of teaching all core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, while fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment for the students. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the class, ensuring a holistic learning experience that aligns with the IB PYP framework.
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies using the PYP inquiry-based approach.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a student-centered, collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning.
Use assessments to track progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Guide students through interdisciplinary projects that promote holistic learning.
Encourage reflection, self-assessment, and ownership of learning.
Support social-emotional development and teamwork, while respecting diversity.
Serve as the primary communication point for parents on student progress and needs.
Participate in school-wide events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless curriculum integration.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or related field (not mandatory).
Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
Experience teaching young children, preferably in an international or IB school.
Familiarity with the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based learning is a plus (not mandatory).
Passion for teaching and nurturing students' academic and social growth.
Creative, adaptable, and student-focused.
Candidates without formal B.Ed. qualifications but with strong language skills are welcome to apply; training provided.
Work Time
7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
