Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Years Programme (PYP) Homeroom Teacher (HRT) to lead and guide a class of students in Grades 1–6. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will take on the responsibility of teaching all core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, while fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment for the students. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the class, ensuring a holistic learning experience that aligns with the IB PYP framework.

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies using the PYP inquiry-based approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a student-centered, collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning.

  • Use assessments to track progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.

  • Guide students through interdisciplinary projects that promote holistic learning.

  • Encourage reflection, self-assessment, and ownership of learning.

  • Support social-emotional development and teamwork, while respecting diversity.

  • Serve as the primary communication point for parents on student progress and needs.

  • Participate in school-wide events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless curriculum integration.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or related field (not mandatory).

  • Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.

  • Experience teaching young children, preferably in an international or IB school.

  • Familiarity with the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based learning is a plus (not mandatory).

  • Passion for teaching and nurturing students' academic and social growth.

  • Creative, adaptable, and student-focused.

  • Candidates without formal B.Ed. qualifications but with strong language skills are welcome to apply; training provided.

Work Time

7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
